and since this is the first opportunity you have had to hear (ok, read) what I have to say I'll do what I love to do, talk about me.
As you have already seen, my name is Binker and since I adopted the Thompson family several years ago I have chosen to also use their last name. I guess I'll start by telling you about my family.
Dale is the oldest and he likes to hang around with me a lot. He likes to think he's my "dad" but I know better, I think of him as my best friend who I love, and I know he loves me back. I've made him my designated driver when I take trips in the car. He's pretty good about feeding me twice a day with a few snacks in between meals. Of course I always reward him by spending a lot of time on his lap or going outside with him and watching him work, at least that what he calls it.
Patti, the person in charge of our family, talks a lot about being old but I know she's not as old as Dale. Compared with a lot of people I think she doesn't look old at all. She takes real good care of all of us but I kind of have to be careful when she's around. Sometimes she kind of loses her cool, like when I get in the trash container under kitchen sink and take some of the stuff under the bed in our bedroom. But underneath all the bluster I know she still loves me -- and I love her too.
Russell is the third person in my family. He and I kind of have a love/hate relationship. He's pretty young in comparison to the rest of us. I know that he really does like me but sometimes he doesn't have a very good sense of humor Like when I pee or poop in his room. And I only do it when nobodies home but like I said, no sense of humor. Actually most of the time we get along pretty well , the rest of the time we tolerate one another.
This is one other member of our family. Patti calls it "Abby." Dale call it "the cat." I just bark at it. It's probably about the dumbest animal in the world because as much as I try to make it's life miserable, it just won't seem to leave. And what really makes me mad is it really doesn't care whether I like it or not. As much as I don't like it nobody listens to my complaints so I guess it's just here to stay.
Well, that's my family. We're the Thompsons. Now that I've got this blog I'll try to keep everyone up on what's going on in my world by making a weekly posting. I think you'll find I lead a pretty exciting life here in the big city (well, big from where I'm seeing it anyway).
Check back in a week -- and in the meantime Make peace and share love with all you meet -- except cats of course!
